The mission for both HASS and Eva’s Place is to provide a shelter for homeless and at-risk adolescents.
Eva’s Place was the fourth in a series of Youth Shelter Homes that the firm designed and built. The first three were for HASS (Halton Adolescent Support Services) in Burlington, Milton, and Oakville. The homes provide a safe and welcoming place for youth in need – HASS has 12 rooms, Eva’s Place has 20. The homes are staffed by adult councilors, and residents are engaged in life skills building, education and employment support.
We are proud of these homes and the legacy of successful lives that they have enabled.
Eva’s Place and HASS were completed by our predecessor firm, Mekinda Snyder & Weis Architects.
