Joao Mello
Intern Architect
Joao completed his Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism with high honours from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2010, and practiced as a licensed architect in Brazil until 2016 before relocating to Canada. In Toronto, he pursued an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology and has since worked on institutional projects of varied scales, including high schools, universities, and community and sports centres. Joao has experience across multiple project phases, from feasibility studies through to construction administration, and he also likes to consider himself a tech enthusiast.
Fun Fact: When not navigating designs and models, Joao can often be found with his saxophone jumping in on impromptu music performances with friends in Toronto. He is also an avid strategy board game player, and loves designing questionable 3D-printed house improvements.
